City Budget Action NEEDED for Calgarians In Need
Calgary Unitarians and the vast majority of CACG members voted Yes to actively support the CACG's 4-Year Municipal Budget Campaign scheduled for Public Hearings and debate November 23-27, 2026.
Our Asks for Community Wellbeing (including Mental Health) and Affordable Housing were also approved by the majority of CACG members after 2 1/2 years of research, and listening to our members, along with fellow Calgarians, who wished to participate. The Asks are:
Community Wellbeing (including Mental Health)
-Invest $9M/year in community-led safety and wellbeing by building a network of community-led organizations.
Affordable Housing
-Invest $526M/year to support the development of 3,000 non-market homes per year via Affordable Housing Office and release 30 City-owned sites per year for these homes.

- Speak* at Council on Nov. 23-27 and/or
- Attend Council on November 23rd at 7:00 pm
