Calgary Unitarian Lay Chaplains officiate ceremonies for the broader community.

These services are available to all – regardless of age, race, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation. Canadian Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religious faith that is able to bring personal meaning to rites of passage and ceremonies, while respecting a wide range of spiritual perspectives. Our lay chaplains will work with you to create a ceremony or ritual that embraces and expresses your personal beliefs and values.

Our mission is to take what is in your heart and find beautiful words to express it.

Ceremonies offered include:

Weddings

Funerals, Memorial and Celebrations of Life

Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) Rituals

Child Dedication and Blessings

Is there a ritual that you need? Ceremonies and rituals honouring other significant life events such as death of a pet, ending of relationships, becoming an elder, are also available through our lay chaplain officiants.

Ceremonies and rites of passage for church members are conducted by our minister.
