We are excited to announce a new pilot partnership this fall: First Base Community Dinner, offered in collaboration with Huggabowl.

On three Thursday evenings—October 29, November 26, and December 17 at 6:00 p.m.—our building will become a gathering place for a community meal that is open to everyone. Huggabowl will provide the meal, coordinate volunteers, and take care of set-up and clean-up, making it easy for people to come together around the simple gift of good food and conversation.

This partnership reflects our commitment to hospitality, connection, and building community beyond our own walls. It also offers an opportunity to welcome new people into our space and to connect with volunteer groups from across Calgary who share a commitment to caring for their neighbours.

The First Base Community Dinner is being offered as a pilot project, and we look forward to learning together as we explore what this partnership might make possible.

Our regularly scheduled Supper Club, hosted by Rev. Samaya, will continue on those Thursdays when the Community Dinner is not taking place. Supper Club remains a welcoming space for congregation members and friends to gather, share a meal, and enjoy conversation together.

We are grateful to Huggabowl for their partnership and enthusiasm, and we hope many members of our community will join us in extending a warm welcome to everyone who comes through our doors.
