In Honour of National Red Dress Day of Awareness

This Friday, join
Calgary Unitarians at the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary for our 3rd Annual Red Dress Powwow. This will be a powerful evening dedicated to honouring our Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous Peoples through song, dance, and community.
Event Details:
• When: This Friday, May 8, 2026. Doors open at 5:00 PM and the
Grand Entry begins at 6:00 PM.• Where: The Big Four Roadhouse (1410 Olympic Way SE).
• Cost: Admission is completely free and all are welcome!
The evening will feature a Memorial Tribute for Families, an Honour Song and Dance, and a Red Dress Dance Special. We are incredibly proud to host a Special Honouring Ceremony for our distinguished guest, Josie Nepinak, and will be joined by honoured guests including the Honourable Rajan Sawhney, ECA , Juno Award-winning artist Susan Aglukark, and Calgary Mayor Jeromy Farkas! A light meal will be provided for attendees for free, and local vendors will be onsite.
