On Sunday, November 1, we will gather for our annual eldering ceremony, What do our UU ancestors ask of us?

Eldering is about more than growing older. It is about the wisdom we gather through living, the stories we carry, the relationships we nurture, and the ways we help our community grow in wisdom, compassion, and love. It is an invitation to continue learning, sharing, encouraging, and making space for the generations that follow.

If you feel drawn to be recognized as an elder within our Calgary Unitarians community this year, I warmly invite you to let me know. Rev. Samaya would love to hear from anyone who feels this is a meaningful next step in their spiritual journey and relationship with our congregation.

There is no particular way you need to be or a particular set of accomplishments you need to have. This is an opportunity to honour the wisdom, experience, and gifts we each bring to our shared life.

Please reach out to Rev. Samaya if you would like to take part, or if you have questions and would like to talk more about what eldering might mean for you.
