Stewardship Campaign 2026-27The Power of US This March marks the beginning of our 2026-27 Stewardship Campaign. This year our Goal is $180,000 in pledged support – a 10% increase over last year. Pledges make up nearly 60% of our annual budget. They are the foundation of everything we do. Reaching our goal ensures stability. Exceeding it opens new possibilities. That is the Power of Us.

Committee on Shared Ministry Update
CoSM would like to thank everyone for responding to our recent ministerial survey. We are compiling the results and also taking into account concerns over the structure of the survey. Just so you know, this survey comes from the Canadian Unitarian Council and encapsulates ministers' core competencies. The words Resonate and Indifferent are theirs but we will examine their usage in the future. CoSM exists to keep a finger on the pulse of our community. To be a sounding board for the minister and for members of our community. To hold us in this community and to bring us back into community when we fall out. Over the past while, we’ve noticed some disturbing instances of emails worded with less than gracious language. Some of the email exchanges within our community could almost be considered on the verge of bullying and when things go down this road, it is CoSM'S responsibility to call it out. Our congregation has undergone a lot of change and progress since COVID-19. Change is good. We cannot grow if we do not change. But change can also be frustrating and can cause anxiety. These things can lead us to be less gracious in our interactions as perhaps we could be. We implore you to please pause before hitting that send button. Sometimes the written word, while having the best intentions, does not land in the way we intend. Re-read your emails and consider how they will be received. We need to hold each other in beloved community. |

Mystery Pals Reveal PartyAfter Sunday Service on March 8 What a wonderful month of February we've had with our very first Mystery Pals program! Our kids have been busy writing and receiving anonymous letters, sharing little bits of themselves, and building connections across the community. Now the big moment is almost here! Everyone who participated is invited to join us after the service on March 8 for a reveal party—please check your email inbox for details! This is when the mystery finally unfolds—kids will get to meet their Mystery Pal in person for the very first time! We'll have snacks, smiles, and plenty of happy hellos. Thank you so much to every family who participated. Your enthusiasm made this first year so special, and we're already looking forward to keeping this going as an annual tradition of connection. |
Meet Your Website Team!
Our new website is live and thriving — and we’re excited to introduce the team that helps keep it fresh, welcoming, and up to date. Behind the scenes, Lillias, January, Jason, Elyse, and Rev. Samaya work together to maintain the site and ensure it clearly reflects who we are as a congregation. They help make sure that when someone is searching for a place to belong, they find accurate information and a warm invitation to connect. Have a website update to share? Spotted something that needs refreshing? Have an idea that could make the site even better? We’d love to hear from you! Reach out anytime at website@calgaryunitarians.ca. Thank you for helping us keep our digital front door open and inviting! For more infomation visit:

Looking for Pride Coordinator 2026Contact Michael for info. Do you want a small (or large, your choice) one-off event to coordinate? An event with a planning document already prepared to guide you? We are looking for someone to coordinate this year's Pride contingent. WAIT! Keep reading. We cannot keep expecting our 2SLGBT+ members to always do this for us. We don't have BIPOC people doing our anti-racism work. We don't have indigenous people doing our reconciliation work. We have people who want to learn that guide us through these journeys. The beauty of this activity is it can be as simple or complex as you want it. We can do it alone or with the other affirming congregations. We just need to build enthusiasm and rally the troops for whatever it is. For more infomation visit:

Looking for Hosts for our Dinner-festVolunteers for dinner fundraiser I want to organize a dinner fundraiser (to replace our normal silent auction) and am looking for people who might be interested in hosting a dinner in their home. This is a great way to build community over food while raising needed funds for our beloved community. People bid on the available dinner spots. Each host can submit their receipts for food and beverages to the treasurer for a “ donation in kind” receipt. Dinners will take place in the April - October 2026 time frame. If interested please contact me at And if you would like to help organize it….even better. Thanks. -Jane For more infomation visit:

Looking For Calgary Coop Card Team Volunteers
The Calgary Coop Card Team is looking for one or two more volunteers for a small, but mighty virtual team. We work independently, primarily from our own computers to send enews and personal emails to top purchasers. In addition, one person picks up Coop Cards from their local Coop and distributes cards at a church service. Commitment is about 2-3 hours per Calgary Coop Card order (about 8 times each church year). QUESTIONS? COMMENTS? VOLUNTEERS? For more infomation visit:
